CLS & Personal Care

Community Living Supports (CLS) are  designed to help individuals increase independence at home and in the communitby developing, improving, or maintaining skills. This service includes assistance through prompting, reminding, cueing, observation, guidance, and direct help with activities. CLS focuses on enhancing skills and fostering independence, requiring the individual's direct involvement in tasks that are outlined as treatment goals, objectives, or interventions in their service plan. It is not a service where tasks are completed for the person.

Personal Care Service (PCS) is designed to assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)

HCBS are personalized supports offered in people's homes and communities. They help individuals live independently in their preferred setting. People play a key role in planning their own services and manage their daily activities.

Everyone has the right to decide on their services and supports. This includes choices about housing, service providers, and how they use their time.

Community Living Support Services (CLSS) partners with individuals and their families, Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority, LifeWays, Integrated Services of Kalamazoo, and Summit Pointe.
